I'm Dennis Ameling, an independent AI consultant. I help organizations understand and implement AI in ways that actually make sense for their specific situation.
My background spans software development, technical leadership, and working directly with organizations to solve real problems. This combination means I can bridge the gap between what AI can technically do and what will actually work for your team.
Why I Started This Practice
I started this consultancy because I kept seeing the same pattern: organizations either overwhelmed by AI hype or missing genuine opportunities because they didn't know where to start.
The AI space is full of vendors pushing expensive solutions and consultants speaking in jargon. I wanted to offer something different—practical guidance from someone who actually builds things and can explain them in plain language.
My goal with every engagement is simple: help you get real value from AI while building your own team's capabilities. No vendor lock-in, no black boxes, no ongoing dependency.
How I Think About Problems
Understand before solving
I spend time understanding your actual challenges before suggesting solutions. The right answer depends on your specific context.
Simple over complex
If a spreadsheet solves the problem, I won't recommend a custom AI system. Complexity should be justified by value.
People over technology
The best solution is one your team will actually use. I focus on adoption and usability, not just technical capability.
Long-term over quick fixes
I'd rather help you build lasting capabilities than deliver a flashy demo that doesn't hold up.

I work in English and Dutch, both for workshops and written documentation.
Location
I work with clients globally. Remote collaboration works well, with on-site visits when it adds value.
